English weekend April 30 - May 3 2009

Together with our friends Ken and Linda Stapleton (Seattle), we organized our first English Weekend in the Krkonose Mountains [one hour NE of Turnov, near the Czech Polish border]. This weekend followed months of weekly English conversation lessons, with about 35 high school and college teachers from Liberec, Turnov, Jicin and Zelezny Brod attending.  Instead of regular English lessons, the program was full of social games, competitions, artistic personal presentations, cooking together, trips to the mountains, aerobics, Irish dance, swimming, talking about Seattle and WA state, and sun bathing [“sun-shine-ing” in Czech ), all in English.
